This page provides general guidance and high-level information related to travel for the Summit Awards weekend at Champagne Sports Resort. It is intended as a reference point rather than a detailed itinerary.

06H30 - Northern (Town Lodge Menlo Park, then to PTA Pretorius Street)
07H00 – Northern (PTA Pretorius Street)
07H00 - Gauteng (Westgate Shopping Centre Entrance 3)
08H00 - Gauteng (Southgate Shopping Centre Entrance 6)
08H30 - Basecamp Group 1 & 2/Port Elizabeth/East London/Mthatha (OR Tambo Airport)
Bus pick-up point at OR Tambo: From Domestic Arrivals, turn right and walk towards International Departures. Follow the signs to the InterContinental Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Hotel and exit at the InterContinental sign. Cross the road and continue along the passageway next to the hotel to reach the coach/bus terminal behind.09H00 - Southern/Basecamp Group 1 & 2 (King Shaka International Airport)
Bus Pick-up point at King Shaka International: Exit the terminal, turn right, and walk towards the Standard Bank on the ground floor. Follow the "Public Transportation Area" signs, exit through the glass doors, and proceed to the designated pickup benches located directly in front of that area.

Drop keys at reception at 06H45 and collect breakfast pack.
08H30 - Pretoria and JHB (board bus at 08H00)
Drop luggage in Summit Room at 07H00; then keys at reception and head to breakfast at the restaurant
09:30 - King Shaka Airport (board bus at 09H00)
Drop luggage in Summit Room at 08H00 latest; then keys at reception and head to breakfast at the restaurant.
10H00 - Pietermaritzburg (board bus at 09:30)
Drop luggage in Summit Room at 08H30 latest; then keys at reception and head to breakfast at the restaurant.

Please remember to collect your luggage before boarding the bus - it will not be placed on the bus for you. It’s your responsibility to ensure it’s on the bus.

Directions
Traveling from JOHANNESBURG
Travel from Johannesburg to Van Reenen’s Pass on the N3.
Pass through the Tugela Toll Plaza which is at the bottom of Van Reenen’s Pass. Continue approximately 14 kilometres to the R616 Bergville turn off, proceed left on the N11 towards Ladysmith for approximately 4 kilometres and turn right onto the R600 Spioenkop / Winterton Rd.
Travel along over the highway, and past Spioenkop Lodge / Nature Reserve. When you reach a T-junction, turn left to Winterton. Take a right over the railway line (R600) when you get into Winterton. This is directly opposite the Engen garage. Follow that road until you reach the crossroads at Thokozisa. Go straight over the crossroads and travel a further 11 km, until you see Champagne Sports on your left-hand side.
Traveling FROM DURBAN
Please follow the below directions to take you through Winterton to Champagne Sports Resort.
Keeping on the N3
Pass the Ultra City
Take the next off ramp which is exit 194 – Bergville / Colenso
Turn left onto the R74
Follow for 20km to Winterton
At robots in Winterton
Turn left onto the R600
Travel for 13km to the four-way intersection – go straight over
Travel another 11km and Champagne Sports Resort will be on your left hand side
Travel along the N3, past Pietermaritzburg and through Mooi River. You will pass the Wagendrift Dam on your left. Keep going until you reach the EXIT 179 Estcourt (North) turnoff. Turn left at the glide-off, and carry on through Loskop for 28kms. Please note there are lots of cattle and animals, be careful!
You will reach a crossroads, with a sign saying “R600 Central Drakensberg”, turn left.
Follow this road for 11kms, and Champagne Sports is situated on the left-hand side.
